BELL ROPES & BELL PULLS
When ordering from Whitechapel, it is important to understand the difference between a bell rope and a bell pull and to order the correct one for your particular application.

A bell rope is used in full-circle change ringing, a ring seldom being fewer than three bells in number and having a matching number of ropes.

Bell pulls are used in all other cases such as, for example, swing-chiming bells and to operate hammers striking stationary bells.

WHITECHAPEL BELL PULLS

Bell pulls are made of Hempex, a polypropylene designed to be similar to flax/hemp in appearance.

The red, white, & blue woolen sally is approx. 15" (380mm) in length, with a tail end of 24" (610mm).

Galvanised steel thimbles and 'D' shackles are available for use with bell pulls, prices available on request.

THE WHITECHAPEL BELL ROPE
Lengths Available in six standard lengths, measured overall, from 30 feet to 80 feet, in 10 feet increments.
Sizes: Available in six standard sizes to suit bells up to 2½ tons.
1) Bells up to 7 cwt
2) Bells from 7 cwt to 12 cwt
3) Bells from 12 cwt to 19 cwt
4) Bells from 19 cwt to 29 cwt
5) Bells from 29 cwt to 39 cwt

Rope: Three strand flax hemp natural fibre rope, pre-stretched, and with sally woven in at time of manufacture.
Sally: 3' 0" long, 17/8" diameter, pure wool, in red, white and blue colours, with ends well tapered.
Price: Bellropes up to & including 70 feet long: £112.00 (£95.32 + VAT)
Bellropes 80 feet long £124.00 (£105.53 + VAT)
Prices include packing and despatch.
Extras:
  1. Non standard colour combinations available in red, white, blue, green, burgandy, black, and gold, at an additional charge of £22.00 per rope (£18.72 + VAT)

  2. Rope lubricant. This (highly recommended) product extends the life of ropes and keeps them supple. A one litre tub is sufficient for treating eight ropes, and costs £19.00 (£16.17 + VAT).

  3. Leather rope sleeves (for protecting the rope at the garter hole) are £4.00 each (£3.40 + VAT)

  4. Polyester top ends at £53.00 per rope (£45.11 + VAT)
Price Acceptance: The above prices will be maintained for orders received before the end of June 2008.
Terms of Payment: Payment is due in full within 14 days of the date of the invoice which will be rendered when the goods are despatched.
How to Order: Write, fax or email your requirements direct to the Foundry. Alternatively, use the order form. Any special instructions should be clearly stated in writing at the time of ordering. Your order will be acknowledged in writing, at which time a delivery date will be given. When ready, the ropes will be despatched to the consignee by post. Advice on the storage and care of bell ropes will be provided with each parcel. The invoice will be despatched separately by post.
Guarantee: All Whitechapel bell ropes are guaranteed against faulty material or manufacture for a period of six months. This guarantee does not extend to normal wear and tear, or misuse.
Export: For orders outside the United Kingdom and Europe, the same total prices and conditions will apply. The goods will be despatched by Air Mail.
