Buses: The number 25, 205 and 253 buses pass the Foundry. Bus stops are 20-30 yards away (marked
by an 'X' on map).
Rail: Liverpool St. and Fenchurch St. rail stations are approx 20 minutes walk away, about 10 minutes via taxi.
Underground: The Foundry lies between the Whitechapel and Aldgate East stations on the District Line. Aldgate East is a bit closer but is in Zone 1 whereas Whitechapel is in Zone 2, so it's a higher fare when travelling from the east. Aldgate East has exits at both ends of the platform. If you do alight there, you should take the eastern exit.
Road: Parking is expensive or non-existant near the Foundry during the week. We recommend using public transport if visiting Monday to Friday. Parking restrictions are lifted on the weekend and it may be possible to park locally then. The foundry is only open on certain weekends to those who have booked one of our Saturday foundry tours.
Air: London City Airport is about 30 minutes away on the DLR (Docklands Light Rail). The Tower Gateway DLR station is approx 20 minutes walk away, about 10 minutes via taxi. Heathrow is about 90 minutes away on the Underground. Switch between the District and Piccadilly Lines at Hammersmith. The Gatwick Express connects that airport with Victoria, which is on the District Line. Take this to Aldgate East.
