As you would imagine, the foundry is frequently visited by filmmakers
from around the world wanting to film footage for documentaries or
news items. In 2006, among those who visited were a team from Project
Explorer who, to quote their own site, are:
"a not-for-profit organization that provides an interactive global learning experience to the kindergarten through twelfth grade community. Providing users globally the opportunity to explore the world from their own computer, we are a free, all-inclusive site that uses story-based learning to spark students' imaginations."They visited the foundry as part of a project titled 'Shakespeare's England' and recorded two short video with our works manager, Mark Backhouse, explaining the processes involved in moulding, casting, and tuning. These can be viewed on the following page of their site: Project Explorer |
