Additional Tour Opening During the Olympic Games
Our popular 1 ½ hour guided tours of the Foundry take place on Saturdays when
no work is being undertaken. For those aged 14 and over only, the cost of
standard tour tickets is £12.00 per head. LINK
SPECIAL OLYMPIC OPENING
During the Olympic fortnight only, we are offering a very special opportunity to
visit the Foundry at 34 Whitechapel Road to witness the UK’s oldest manufacturing
company in action.
The foundry will be open daily from 10.00 am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm) from
Saturday, July 28th until Sunday, August 12th.
Tours will be self-guided, families are welcome, this is a unique chance to see how
bells are moulded and to see many of our highly specialised craft skills in operation.
The casting of bells and pouring of hot metal, however, is not permissible during
this time, due to health and safety considerations.
Visit our small museum, shop and our new heritage and education centre, a project
which is part of the High Street 2012 initiative.

Admission: £10.00 per head.
Family entry: 2 adults and up to 4 children £25.00.
Children under 14 not admitted without adult supervision
Accessible by arrangement with staff on site, who will be pleased to help
